Thought to Glow: Because Jesus cares deeply about you and every aspect of your life; let Him lead you every step of the way.
Passage: Mark 6:30-44
The miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 is found in all four Gospel accounts. Yet, Mark gives us a complete insight into the heart of our Savior that no other Gospel writer gives. Mark 6:34 reads, “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Jesus was moved with compassion on the multitude because they were as sheep without a shepherd. People were coming from many different cities to see Jesus and be healed by him and to see Him heal.
Can you picture Jesus looking out in all directions and seeing people coming from all over and His heart breaks for them. They were wandering about seeking help for their wearied lives. Jesus knew He could help them, guide them, and be their Shepherd. Truly, He cared deeply for their souls and their lives. Then, after a long day of healing and caring for the people, Jesus cared so much for them He wanted to feed them.
In the same way, Jesus cares deeply about you and every step of your life. He is there for you. He wants to lead you, guide you, and strengthen you in all things; even your daily needs. Today, trust Him and let Him lead you through His Spirit and His Word. 1 Peter 5:7 reads, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
